PLAYING THE BEAUTIFUL GAME
Jag Shoker is a Regional Business Development Director for Barclays and self development coach who has coached business leaders, sports men and women to help them achieve greater success in both work and their personal lives.
It has been a long journey to becoming a published author for Jag, and he was keen to express in words the valuable insights that he gained through his own business career, his role as a self development coach and his past experiences as a promising footballer.
After his dream of being a professional footballer ended, Jag entered the financial world and has enjoyed considerable success since. Through his work as a self development coach he has been able to work with individuals from the world of business and sport all with one common goal, to identify a winning philosophy and integrate it into their daily lives.
Speaking about his work as a self development coach Jag said, “Time and experience have certainly been great aids in enhancing the value of the coaching I have been able to provide to the individuals I‘ve had the privilege of coaching; and I don’t use the word privilege here lightly. Our goals and dreams are often very personal to us and sharing these with someone else and being honest about what is genuinely holding us back is no easy thing. It requires a great degree of trust. Building trust is something I place great value on. When working as a coach you naturally become a confidant to your clients and maintaining their trust is of vital importance when trying to develop a successful coaching relationship that will help your clients to succeed".
