JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and passionate person to drive a new programme funded by Spirit 2012, which aims to bring communities together through sport. You will work closely with coaches to deliver high quality sessions targeting all communities across the town. An ability to socialise and create strong working relationships will be vital as well as an excellent manner with children and young people. You will need to have an imaginative and problem-solving approach to ensure successful programme of delivery that positively impacts the lives of young people through sport.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised NGB Level 1 coaching qualification and have a keen interest in cricket. The programme will use cricket to bring different ethnic and faith communities' closer together, fostering mutual respect and friendships. You will earn as you learn and gain a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Community Sport and Health Officer.

Candidates should understand the council's 5 year plan and how we are working towards delivering key outcomes in the plan.
