JOB DESCRIPTION

UK Athletics (UKA), the National governing body for the premier Olympic sport of athletics has a vacancy for a Marketing/Ticketing Executive to provide marketing and ticketing support across all events with emphasis on spectator services, dealing with customer enquiries and handling ticket campaigns.

The successful candidate will:-

  • Act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries
  • Implement a customer services strategy for all events
  • Review and develop communications around spectator services
  • Oversee ticketing campaigns including for the sport stakeholders, schools, clubs etc.
  • Assist with execution of CRM strategy to help drive ticket sales
  • Manage the development of British Athletics activities during events used to upsell future events and the sport
  • Work with the marketing and ticketing manager to ensure that all campaigns are functional on the ticketing site including from time to time offers and exclusive sales periods
  • Identify and drive possible marketing collaboration and partnership opportunities
  • Support Ticketing Ops Manager in the delivery of major events ticketing operations at events
  • Work closely with the wider commercial team to ensure high levels of partner satisfaction
  • Build strong working relationships with CRM agency, event partners and contractors
  • Work with the communications team on creation of content across multiple digital platforms

The candidate should have experience in:-

  • Experience in a similar role in major events is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in basic marketing principles
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate skills in:-

  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Communication skills to the highest standard
  • Ticketing websites and CRM

This role will involve regular nationwide travel.
