The Beginning: Aamina’s Path to Krimmz Girls Youth Club
Aamina’s story began when she first learned about Krimmz Girls through her school. The idea of joining this youth club intrigued her, and she decided to sign up for a netball session. Little did she know that this would be the start of an amazing adventure.
Giving Back to the Community
One of the key highlights of being a part of Krimmz Girls for Aamina was the opportunity to give back to her local community. It’s not just about sports; it’s about witnessing young people thrive and grow through these experiences. Aamina found great joy in being a part of this positive transformation.
The Youth Sport Trust Summit: A Life-Changing Opportunity
Aamina’s journey took an unexpected turn when she heard about the Youth Sport Trust Summit. It was Khadija who brought this opportunity to her attention. The Sporting Equals organization was looking for two representatives to attend the summit, and Aamina decided to seize the chance.
Three Words: Insightful, Rewarding, Amazing
When asked to describe her experience at the Youth Sport Trust Summit in just three words, Aamina chose “insightful, rewarding, amazing.” These words aptly encapsulate the impact and significance of the summit in her life.
Connecting with Like-Minded Youth

She has decided to take a netball umpire course, expanding her skills and involvement in the sports world. Furthermore, she has set her sights on becoming a Youth Board member for the Youth Sport Trust. When the applications open, Aamina is ready to take on this new challenge. Since the summit, Aamina has had a newfound confidence that helped her degree apprenticeship journey. Aamina has also taken up archery as a participant but also did her instructor’s award in this sport. She will be moving on to doing her coaching for archery to engage more women and girls in participating on a long-term basis.
