Barbara Thompson


Barbara has a varied portfolio of work experiences but over the last 13 years she has been supporting global companies to optimise their business performance.  She has been both an in-house internal consultant and a management consultant, the combination of those environments enhance her ability to advise and implement on strategies and design-led tactical experiences.  One of the areas Barbara has played an active role in is the narrative around D&I, To date, she has been leading and nurturing internal ’employee resource groups’, tackling discrimination online (and in companies), as well as designing hard-hitting interventions to challenge mindsets and culture.

During her formative years Barbara demonstrated sporting prowess with track and field events and it started her love affair with sports.  Barbara is fascinated by athletes, both the individual and team dynamic and sees the application of sports science and peak performance just as relevant to the business environment. For her it’s the linkage between coaching, leadership. performance, data, psychology, and an individuals mindset that contributes towards business performance. Barbara is passionate about leveraging sport to support mental health & wellbeing in addition to it being an activity which brings communities together.
